Das Rennen über 4 Inseln

When a new race appears and has immediately been sold out 2 times it is obvious it has what it takes to
be “the” race. 4 Islands MTB stage race has indeed left a remarkable memory for all that attended it and
the 3rd edition is expected with a great anticipation.

No single event in the world can compare with the uniqueness of riding through 4 different islands in a
just 4 days, passing by Mediterranean sea and history captured in small towns and villages. It is the race
where riders live and breathe with the race and organisers, where they change islands with boats taking
them directly to the start of a new stage. The beautiful and picturesque landscapes as well as supreme
organisation have placed this race on the bucket list of many MTB stage race enthusiasts and it’s no surprise
that the race has been proclaimed as one of the best in Europe.
Exceptionally attractive terrains and trails, relatively short but of an ideal lengths for the beginning of the
season, have made this race an unavoidable spring adventure.

Each year the race is recording double digit growth in terms of number of participants. 200 teams (400
participants) from 25 countries and 5 continents were participating at the race in 2016 and their notions
are quite a good invitation for all interested to test their abilities and to make their own deep impressions
for a life time.

The organisers are announcing even more attractive race in 2017. Islands Krk, Rab, Cres and Lošinj will
once again host mountain bike adventurers that will enjoy around 270 km of trials, climbing up to 5.000
metres and passing by beautiful sceneries of the islands. The race will remain the team model (riding in
pair), however the organiser will introduce the new category, grand master (over 50 years) in order to
keep up with the norms of the most developed races in the world. Participation is open to any person
above 18 years, no licence needed.

Get yourself ready to conquer the islands and be rewarded with 4 days of adventure in a welcoming atmosphere
among ones sharing the same passion you are cherishing too.
